Well I guess we can't even criticize someone's personality even though they're offending people just because they're doing so well and are 'well established'. This thread wasn't even made for bashing someone. Someone repeatedly quoted me and I replied?

But anyway I never said Adele wasn't deserving of her success because she is talented. This thread is basically putting down the accomplishments and acclaim of talented actors and I don't think that's fair.

Exactly what language are you looking for when you want someone to explain why she's not that great an actress? There isn't a scoresheet that you can use with rating someone's acting talent, there's simply nothing there that wows. She does the job and speaks from the script but she doesn't make it as believable as a lot of truly great actors - basically she still always looks like she's acting, when the point of acting well is to look like you're really that character

Of course there is different things that should be considered when judging someone's acting talent... Yeah a 'scoresheet' if you wanna call it that. I hardly think it's as simple as just being 'believable'.

Robert Pattinson (also Kristen Stewart)

Hey they were terrible in the Twilight films because the scripts were written so, so terribly. Neither of them are as bad as everyone tells them they are outside of the films. Actually their awful acting kind of fitted with the horrendously written Twilight films.

I can't speak for Kristen Stewart that much 'cause I've only seen her in Twilight but Robert Pattinson wasn't half bad as Cedric in Harry Potter and I've seen him in some other film (Water for Elephants?) and he was pretty good in that too.

Can't believe I'm defending them but I guess I feel sorry for how Twilight has restricted them lol..

I'd not avoid a film with him in, and some people can genuinely get better but yeah, I never saw why everyone was so in love with them in the films when they weren't even good, let alone that​ good.

Neither do I. I think it's the Twilight films that are overrated, not the actors in particular.. Even the films do the books injustice

I don't need qualifications in acting to say that some actor's role wasn't really worth the praise. And at the end it's my personal view ..no one in this thread even questioned someone's ability. Calling someone overrated does not imply that they cannot act or they should learn acting or whatever

Also regarding the attacks on her personality, if she has done something which is worth criticizing then it is worth mentioning too. Not criticizing people just because they're 'well established' is stupid

Robert Pattinson is good in Remember me. I agree he is a little bland tho, his style is the same in a lot of his films, he always looks like he's stuck in chains.
