Judging by this thread many people like 2012. That is a great film, sir.
A lot of people did, though it's safe to say the vast majority didn't. It's also a terrible film.

The folks in this thread have no bearing on the scale of like and dislike of 2012.

Same director. It's pretty much the same film. Hell, I don't know what Emmerich can blow up next - he just destroyed the planet. Perhaps his next film will be about a control panel in the core of the earth that makes the planet move, and it collides with the moon which is ran by a breed of intergalatic robotic cattle who are hellbent on conjuring tsunamis and knocking town skyscrapers with their martian breath. It will be called Galaxy of Fear and it will be his masterpiece.

I honestly had no idea, but tbh i did like the day after tommorrow although i guess the plot was sorta lacking was still decent in my opinion.

As for this galaxy of fear sounds like an award winner.

No, but there is no denying it's a poorly made film unless you're some kind of buffoon.

People seem to think I "hate every film in existence". Yet that makes no sense since film is my passion and my job - I like a hell of a lot more films than I don't. Throw film titles at me if people need convincing. :S

i never said that you hate every film in existence. what ive been trying to get through to you over the last month or so is that your opinion is one of many, and calling people buffoons because they liked a film you clearly didnt is not really acceptable. you shouldnt argue with people just ebcause you think its poorly made. as i said a while back, the way the film is made doesnt make a film enjoyable. its where its good for the viewer.

    Independence Day - widely panned.
    Godzilla - widely panned.
The Day After Tomorrow - widely panned.
    10,000 B.C. - widely panned.

From what i know those films bar 10,000B.C were very successful this does not mean they had good reviews. I personally hate critics for this, not just for films but for games aswell. they don't go to try and enjoy a film they go deliberatley to find problems with it and this infuriates me. I'll take a game as my example GTA4 got 10/10 from allmost all reviews. yes it was a good story line and yes it was realistic but it was missing a fundlemntal part of games FUN.

Ofcource a movie needs storyline but if thats all it has then it's not enjoyable.

anyway what i'm trying to get at are the films that he has directed are very enjoyable to watch i don't care what a pompus critic that can't enjoy life thinks. go by THE GENERAL PUBLICS viw rather than someone that was born to hate.

Sorry about my rant i just thought it had to be said
