I've said it before and I'll say it again: Roland Emmerich is a hack. He's the disaster movie equivalent of Michael Bay. All action and zero substance. The only drama is the overly long sentimental speeches that are so unrealistic and unintentionally laugh-out-loud funny, that it's totally outrageous and rediculous.

Obnoxious friends of mine saw it, said it's the best film they've ever seen.
Then again they only like three things - explosions, 'fit' girls and guns.
In my opinion the only thing that is good in this movie is the special effects. But it's just pretty pictures and I wouldn't pay £10 to go and watch pretty lights and buildings smashed.

I reckon it will be an interesting film. The trailer looks good.

I think itl be one of those films thats gets you thinkin. Like number 23 or spiderman (yes i did want to be spiderman after i watched it
