Only been told how to put a condom on a fake penis and about aids and crap like that in high school. In primary they told us about penis and testicles unless they've changed it since 7 years ago.

when you say promote do you mean not encourage people to be gay, not say it's ok to be or something else entirely?

Agreed. I think it's impossible to promote homosexuality. I mean no matter how many times you say to someone "its fine to be gay" they are still gonna be straight, it simply helps them understand homosexuality so they are less likely to be against it and they understand that its fine for them to be homosexual.

I think we all know what promotion of homosexuality is;- groups such as Stonewall are determined to ram forward their agendas in an almost militant way on the majority of the population and things such as gay pride and gay groups in general are the same. It is these groups that give homosexuality a bad name, infact they make an issue out of it. The example below is a good example, just because somebody does not agree with homosexuality or because a MP such as Chris Grayling agrees with peoples right to have an opinion on homosexuality - groups such as Stonewall find something to moan about and 'fight for rights' - well news just in Stonewall, nobody (the majority) really cares if people are gay anymore to an extreme level.

The idea that its homosexuals vs everyone else is just a mentality many gay people have and wrongly so, because it pushes them further away from the reality which is that being gay isnt much of an issue anymore - in doing so, they also forget that people can have opinions on them being gay and that we live in a democracy above all other things - or we are supposed to anyway.

Very few schools cover homosexuality in sex ed. lessons, the focus of them is to to make you have safe sex and once they achieve that goal they don't particularly care about anything else.
Some RE lessons at my school (which is Catholic) have covered the ethics of homosexuality, and why people choose it...
Mostly they go on about how it's wrong. Which is horrible, but that's what Catholic's belief I guess... :rolleyes:

I had sex ed in year 6, 7, 9 and 11. Never got shown condoms. Covered STDs and gays rly

In Year 11 we had sex education for PSHE (before that it was Year 9, then Year 7, and first showed in Year 5 and/or 6). They talked about homosexuality in Year 11, but there wasn't a lot to talk about. It was before the safe sex lesson so it was only really talked about with connections to "it's fine", "sodomy is hip nowadays" and "as long as you're safe", so nothing major.
