Do they mention or explain homosexuality? I am curious as I have never had sex education in my 13 years of education.

no, they didn't rly. she just put a condom on a *****, said we shouldn't have a "wham, bam, thank you mam in a toilet cubicle", told us about STDs etc. and dunno what else. RE covered some sex ed topics tho aswell.

but in our pse lessons (forgot what that stands for) this year we were watching clips telling us about gay sex....

only had one lesson in five years and I missed that as the school thought it'd be better if i sweet talked the ofsted lot into pretending i go to a great school.

Yeah they do at my school. We had another massive unit on sex education in year 9 which covered everything in a lot of detail, including being gay/bi/unsure and how you know etc.

here there is no specific subject for sex education, it's just a short topic in a health class, which is mandatory because you're only 13/14 when you take it (and in Canada you don't get to choose your own courses until you're in highschool, which is when you're 15/16).

Our teacher asked us what biases we knew about homosexual people, and wrote them on the board. He had a list of around 12ish rude terms for what people called them (need I tell you any). I remember it being incredibly awkward.

I don't think you really need to go into detail about specifically homosexual intercourse, because you have the same dangers of contracting STIS as you do when they discuss heterosexual intercourse. Plus, if they did talk about it, it just gives the kids another excuse to bully the kids they think are "sooooo gay", and it would most likely embarrass the one or two, if any, kids in the class who actually are, because they would obviously believe the discussion was just for their benefit.

It was kinda brief like you may find yourself liking the opposite sex, your teachers, or maybe even the same sex but thats normal at your age bla bla

As of September it will be the law to teach children about homosexuality in PHSE as per the national curriculum. At least that's what I was told on my Stonewall residential.
