I have now played the PSP, and I own a DS, so I can say my view for real.

The PSP looks alot nicer, and feels comfier. It is more stylish and has stylish L & R buttons. But it doesn't mean I like it better.

All I played was Golf on the PSP, so it's rubbish. I didn't see PSP's full potential, but it is better graphics then the DS. But everyone in my Game store were saying "Does the PSP have a touch screen?".

So that means they're used to handhelds now having a touch screen. And the touch screen is alot more fun. I will be getting a PSP, as it is good. but in my opinion the DS is more fun.

I imported a psp from america and was overjoyed when it came at first i loved it as you would but then i got bored really fast and sold it

Does it really matter if you can play DVD's on your handhelds?
They're just UMD's and barely any good movies are being released after the launch date.
But then, later on the good movies start-a-coming.

PSP' cost about 200 here, 50 more than a stinkie DS, but hey its worth it.
If you have EB games card or gameStop card... You get 20% percent off.

I said the DS because I enjoy playing it.Not because I can't get it.Im getting the PSP 1st Sep with Ridge Racer.
There are a few good films set to come out on UMD. Like Donnie Darko.
