Although, I am certain the change in user ranks didn't affect this - if it did it took a VERY long time for the changes to have any affect

Lol I can't believe this thread went on for 6 pages. I wish I had this much time on my hands.

I will be honest, I don't think we will be changing the user ranks any time soon, they have had too much attention in the last 18 months and frankly I don't think the majority of people give a damn. Might change it in the summer or autumn something.

The type of ranks are a bit weird, and some of the reasons behind them are also very odd. It's incredibly unlikely new members were put off for having a rank which lacked value. If it is the case Habbox Forum seems to be tapping into a source of truely odd individuals who notice user ranks when they first join a forum and are put off because "bronze isn't worth much". That said, they're doing no harm and there are no problems with the ranking system

I do think it's a bit odd and all because the vast majority of forums i've been on start off at bronze and not one person has made a complaint about that, you post and work your way up the ranks if you contribute more to the forum. Starting at gold seemed a bit odd and whilst I started at bronze, I did not ever feel lower than anyone else or at the bottom of the chain.

Anyhow the whole issue is not really an urgent matter because no-one really finds forum ranks that significant but it would look more suitable having new members starting Bronze > Silver > Gold > Sapphire.. etc.

I acctuly like gold being at the fron because emerald, etc sound like a high value. Although gold sound at the bottom of all of them and silver member and bronze member, I dont like the sound of them .

Yeah but that's the thing. You're still here. You're still here with these new userranks what's the problem? Sure it may not be the most logical approach (I agree with Jin mind) but it's just wasting precious time which can be used for other things.
