It isn't an excuse, it's reality that we are in Britain. If Pakistani people are fine with eachother calling themselves it then they ahve serious mental issues if they are offended by other people of other nationalitys saying it. British Officals never use the word because they are in fear of being branded racist, just as Micheal Howard got branded Raicts for just talking about immigration. All this red tape has provoken fear within British people thus the word has become to be known as a racist term when it isn't.

I am English and whether this country is multiculutral or not I can use the same word as Pakistanis use to call eachother. If Pakistanis, Indians, Polish and so on wish to be accepted in this country then they must learn to accept language that this country uses.

Also can a Admin/Super Mod reopen that thread please as that is what the whole thread is about.

It's got something to do with their beliefs. The 4 letter word you use means "the pure" and you're not Pakistani, so you are not "the pure" therefore they feel you have no right to say it. Their beliefs, live with it, like they put up with our beliefs, if we have any that is "/

Also, those Pakistanis aren't in this country, they are in Pakistan and they use the word in this country anyway, so what you said makes no sense. We didn't invent the word, they did ages ago, when the country was probably named that "/

I am nt racist right , I have no problem being with and seeing people from different nations however I am annoyed (thats an underexpression) regarding the immagration. HOWEVER this forum allows people from foriegn countries just as much as it does english so we should NOT INSULT them or use words considered in the world as RACIST!

You're over-reacting over something you really have no need to care about. A majority of Pakistani's refuse to be called the 4 letter word because it is pretty much a racist term and the remaining amount of Pakistani people either only want to be called the 4 letter word by people who are Pakistani themselves or don't care, but the people who don't care what they are called is very low.

It's not a matter of what you think, it is what they think. They think it is a racist term most of them time, while the rest of the time they only want to be called that by their fellow Pakistanies. If you bothered reading articles you'll know why it is an 'unmentionable' word. Look at the media, the only time they use that word is when it is quoted, and most of the time it is bleeped out.

It is very similar to the common racist term which is like snigger, where only a black man/woman can call another black man/woman by that term.

So sod what you think for a change, it is up to a Pakistani member, or someone related to a Pakistani person to decide. But I can assure you that is isn't acceptable to call them that.

Actually it's the other way around, we have to put up with immigrants sponging off us, what do they have to put up with from us? Christians don't impose their beliefs on Muslims in this country or anything like that. If we are going along the 'you invented the word' then surely we should ban all foreigners using the English language?

No. I am ashamed of racist people because it drags peoples opinion of britain down even more. People should be treated the same regardless of their race.

You do realise there are different types of Christians? You can get extremist Christians which moan till they go blue in their face and you can get muslims which are not extremist and do alot for their community. I should know, I know a few muslim people who are actually quite friendly and disagree with extremist muslims thinking they're a bad name for muslims "/

No I wouldn't go up to a Black man and say that because they are not a country, they are a race. So I wouldn't need to mention Black peopel if I were writing about countrys societys, like for example 'Brits spend £20 million a year on plants'. We are not talking about hate here, I do and would not call someone a Páki out of hate, I would use it as slang. You seem to think I hate all muslims and Pakistanis because I use one word of slang.
