Facebook has 11 year old's and younger. I bet there are plenty of porn sites with under age and there are loads of dating sites, adult ones face this and so on, basically sex sites, I wonder how many under age use them - The important thing is where was channel 4 when I used Habbo years back when all this still happened.

you can't, my sweet, and that is the essence of sex in our modern society. you never know who likes what, who wants to do what to you nor who is sexually criminal. this has nothing to do with habbo and everything to do with the human community. habbo is a tiny little scapegoat that i suppose makes an entertaining exposé. they aren't saving any children from anything with this, though. stop it on habbo and the kids will go elsewhere. changes need to be made a bit higher up than a chat community for kids based in finland that has been around for a lot shorter of a time than the sexualisation of children has.

This is my last reply to you because quite frankly, I don't think your actually listening to what people are saying to you, and all your doing is repeating yourself.

that isn't a new idea and has been on the internet for forever. they can ban every variation of the word sex but that doesn't ban any child from thinking about it. in fact, as i will get to, they are constantly bombarded with it in every source of media. ifif they can't find a way to type it as 'sex' or a variation thereof, they will find another way or another site. do you suggest we start using hypnosis and mind control to keep kids from thinking about or even lightly acting on it?

Habbo hasn't done it before. That is my point. Of course they are going to think about sex, it's part of growing up. i actually hope than channel four starts caring for our precious children and keeping them from sex like they want habbo to do so strongly. i suggest they stop airing programmes like 'family guy' in timeslots easily accessible to thirteen year olds. how about embarrassing bodies, the show that gets people to go live on webcam and drop their clothing to talk about how they are sad that their breasts are small? kids watch that all of the time. what about glee? a thirteen year old high school student under the age of consent is shown on a bed with a 'bad boy' male over eighteen dressed only in tight underwear while she tells him how hot he is. that was just last month, actually. channel four's '**** week' was pretty interesting. i'm also interested in their special that showed long periods of full frontal male nudity and the presenter naked on camera while he stimulated his erect penis. i remember the skins controversy as well. we all know who the main demographic watching that show was. no need to even say it.

What a kid watches at home is up to them and their parents. Some kids might wan't to have cyber sex with somebody, the majority of kids don't go on Habbo for that, and therefore don't want to see rooms with "Strip club" and "Free sex" as the titles.

Yeah Facebook has 11 year olds. It would also step in when there are problems with content with children being targeted by perverts. Habbo, on the other hand, simply alerts its users, that actually, they are simply wasting the moderators time! Furthermore, the issue has grown dramatically. When I played Habbo, the entire page of popular rooms is full of dating, sex and strip club rooms!

Although, shall we be fair? Channel 4 is a media company. They like a big story, that is their job. It won't be a fair report in that it will skip out that actually many users do like a nice conversation, buying their pixels. But many, do not.

To be quite honest, flirting in the way we are talking between an 11 year old and some other random person who could be some 40 year old creep claiming to be the same age should not be encouraged.

No dear, the two may have gone up but they are not connected. The main reason for the increase in rape levels is actually just a matter of it being reported more as sex education improves (albeit very slowly) and people have more confidence to do so. Also, a gang-related rape would suggest that it's a case of stranger rape (ie: perpetrated by someone the victim doesn't know), which is the least common scenario of all. That brings us nicely to your next blunder -

When referring to modern rape, I am not making reference to where a husband forces his wife to have sex - a relatively common occurrence in the past.

Rape of a partner (be it male or female, the disparity is nowhere near as wide as people tend to believe) is still by a long long way the most common form of rape.
