Every Year A/e (Accedent And Emergancy) Get Over 50,000 Casultys Due To Firework Injuries Due To Stupidness Useing Them. Follow These Rules And Be Safe.
1Plan your firework display to make it safe and enjoyable.
2Keep fireworks in a closed box and use them one at a time.
3Read and follow the instructions on each firework using a torch if necessary.
4Light the firework at arm's length with a taper and stand well back.
5Keep naked flames, including cigarettes, away from fireworks.
6Never return to a firework once it has been lit.
7Don't put fireworks in pockets and never throw them.
8Direct any rocket fireworks well away from spectators.
9Never use paraffin or petrol on a bonfire.
10Make sure that the fire is out and surroundings are made safe before leaving.
Setting Them Off
Only one person should be in charge of fireworks. If that's you, then make sure you take all the necessary precautions. Read the instructions in daylight and don't drink any alcohol until they've all been discharged. On the night, you will need...
a torch
a bucket of water
eye protection and gloves
a bucket of soft earth to put fireworks in
suitable supports and launchers if you're setting off catherine wheels or rockets.

Only buy fireworks marked BS 7114.
