Default Designer out, cheap and cheerful in?

Well, it seems less and less people are bothered about wearing top designer gear these days. I've noticed a change in myself; I used to love wearing FCUK and DKNY t-shirts, but I don't see the point anymore.

H&M, Primark, Envy, River Island and Topman (Topshop for you ladies) are the way to go. A fraction of the price but you can get things similar or even better design-wise than Gucci or Prada. I find things that don't have a label or crest on them saying a designer name much nicer overall, as you pay more attention to how it actually looks. Most people I know prefer to buy these cheaper clothes now, and I think it's much better in general. People who used to be shunned because they couldn't afford the "in thing" now don't have to be

What does everyone else think? Are the cheaper alternatives kicking the expensive stuff out of your wardrobe?

I've also noticed this change. I think most people now days like to wear anything depending on whether it looks good or not.

Some cheap clothing have just as good material or beeter than the designer stuff, Primark for instance have some nice jeans which I think could match some top brands.

I got this proper fit skirt from Primark for £4 and the exact same skirt was in Topshop for like £20-30! I was well chuffed. Although I do like topshop anyways. And River Island, and H&M from that list.

You say that you're in control... You say that you are...I can't think of a time... When you looked less alive... You said, "Wait until light, my dear"... Just wait until light... One more day will go by...Maybe today you should try...To look past the mirror and find...Look past the mirror...That there's something inside...

yeah so do I. it doesn't look good with FCUK all over a tee. i'd only wear any fcuk clothes if it didn't have fcuk anywhere on it.

Jeans, I think you could pick up a great pair of jeans from literally anywhere now days.
Although I tend to wear Levis, theres some other great pairs of jeans from places such as Primark.

Primark is a great place to get some cheap but lush clothes if your strapped for cash. I think it has lush accessories. It also has some nice pieces of clothes in. Also i like some of the shoes their yesterday i seen some lovely boot's from there for £8 and they were better than some of the designer ones.
