    Default The future of music?

Anyone ever wonder this? A few days ago, me and a few people from school were talking about how bad some music today is getting, and how bad it may get in the future. I started to think about it more today, and how much different can music possibly get? How many more genres are possible? I cant imagine how much harder rock can get since we already have bands that scream all the way through the song with 3 guitars playing the same cord over and over as hard as they can through the song, how much more is possible? I dont know how much less talented you can be in the future to make it in music. Im going to try to keep up with new music as much as I can as time goes on. What do you guys think?

um...its like that already and has been for a long time. real music died out a few years ago. Rarely do you see true love and engery in rock music now n days. Stick to local bands if you want an honest love of music

I guess the big selling industry in the US is hip hop so maybe a new genre of that. In terms of rock I could see it going more pop, or for real heavy metal bands i think it may just stay the same with maybe new concepts introduced.

Ooer I was thinking about this the other day too, because someone asked me who's my favourite band at the moment, and I realised I have barely any interest in recent music!
There's only a few tracks around lately when I think 'Yay, someone decent'.

It will probably die out for us, you know how it's common for old people to only enjoy the type of music they listened to as youngsters, or maybe they are just stuborn to admit that they didn't grow up to best music, anyway, it'll probably just become like that for us.

I've also wondered this many'a times.

Yes, some Pop music is torture to your ears, and I bet from the past 5 years, you could probabely see a decrease in the quality of music.

I think that the majority of music artists now days are in the buisiness for money, fame, glory and reputation. Tis sad really when you think about it, this means that the music they produce is meaningless, they don't put much dedication towards the track, only thinking about how much money it would make them.
If all the common musicians think like this, then yes, I pretty much think music will deteriate through time, leaving the talented artists to enlighten us

I agree with NekkLe that most artists are only in the trade for the fame/money etc. This is proven that some artistis are so eager to sue people downloading there produce illeagely.

Really? Hmm, I can only think of a few albums that have came out that I have really liked. Foo Fighters, Audioslave, Coldplay, the White Stripes was okay, not as good as their last, Institute was good, Im having trouble thinking of more though. Maybe this year wasent so bad, but there has been a lot of completely bad stuff coming out this year. I think thats what gets me, there has been so much bad music coming out this year, it basicly cancelles out the good music.

That kinda makes it sound like you are in it for the fame. No offence.
