Mans best friend

Dogs, some hate them, others love them. Personally i love my doggies.
I want to make a poll to see what the most popular breed is but first i need some nominations.
So guys nominate your favourite breed and give me a reason why there your favourite.
Mine are the loyal border collies (Sheep dogs)
Ive always owned border collies, at one point i had 8 (My dog had pups) There usually really intelligent and there extrememely loyal.
When i was little i had one name Peri, who was very odd. She wasnt your average border, she was mostly white with black splodges and had curly hair even though all the other puppies in her litter were straight haired mostly black pups. She had one green eye and one blue and was lovely, i used to pull my self up on her when i was learning to walk. She died about 4 years ago of cancer I got my second border Kelp for my 8th birthday, shes really intelligent and at one point she was a trick dog. Shes quite small for a border and has a really sleek shiney coat that never tangles. Shes only got half an ear now because her puppy bit it off. I decided to breed from her with my uncles border collie. She had 6 puppies, they were huge, the vet said it was the biggest border collie litter he had seen. I sold 5 for about £100 each but nobody would buy the biggest boy. He had been starved of oxygen in birth and had brain damage. But we kept him and called him Murl, hes really really stupid. And is twice as big as his mother. When he jumps up on me hes as big as me. He thinks hes a lapdog though and insists on sitting on you. Ow. I wouldn't swap him though. He always fights the fox that invades our garden. And hes so sweet. He eats anything in site (Including his mothers ear)

Border collies are great farm dogs. Some of my family are farmers and its amazing to watch them herding the sheep and stuff. There definately in my eyes the best breed.

Labs are awesome! my uncle has 2 meg who is like mega old and jess who is only 1 year old, they are both gun dogs.

Well i have a dog which is a jack russel called Basil, i've had him for about 7-8 years now and he's my first dog. My mum got him from a farm where the owner was breeding jack russels and she picked Basil because he seemed like the quiet, innocent looking one, but he's grown up to be a right rascal. I love him because he's very affectionate and always wants a cuddle, and sits on your lap and makes comfort noises when you squeese him, tis oh so sweet =P

Also he comes and lays on my bed in the morning and trys to líck my face, tis not so pleasant, bad breath lol But anyways i love Basil so much. Omg when i first saw him he was sleeping in one of my sisters trainers, he was that small, sooo CUTE!. Ahhh anyhoooo, i love Basil..x3 ^^

Oh i also love Sausage Dogs and Chiwawas =p
