Mysql Help!

Ive got this cool new alert system right?? Where i insert data into the table and it shows on a page in Javascript Alert from. I insert data from a form. But when it shows in the alert it shows the old one not the new one. Anyone know how to limit it to showing only the new one??

You may need to totally wipe out and delete the old one. If not then ermm i'm stuck lol

Im trying for it to show the new one only kinda by ID first

just add LIMIT and the the number of applications you want to display to your mysql query.

Ok, one way would make the javscript alert script set a cookie, so that it can check for it and now show again, to that user, unless new entery is made wich will need a new cookie id to not show it?
Or use php to ether check ips, cookies, serssions, or member data or what evers avaible and to be able to keep track of wether or not the popup has already been shown.

I was thinking that because it will get really annoying if an alert repeatedly shows.
