Mage probaly..you'd just use ice barrage and freeze melee one on his way attacking you..but I think for mage would be bit of problem range dude o_O but ice barrage is really powerfull spell so hm oh mage would have full ahrims? ahrims lowers your stats ;] lol so mage would win, the mage could make your strenght go to -5 etc.

wt'f I Said Mage would get hit into BADLY if You had Full Black Dhide And Crystal Bow.. because mage wouldnt hit ALOT and range would hit alot

since

Range armour - Good against Mage
Mage armour - Pshh against Range.
