Well its because there are usually less users online at this time, it makes more sense. You SHOULD be in bed. Then again there are American users who it's 8:22 for but 1 AM gets rid of some of the UK visitors

Always been like this. Back in the day you could swap to the public rooms just before it went down and it'd be ok, then 30 minutes later swap back, because then the public rooms go down. Might not still work.
