    Default Comments from a Toucan

Toucan = Jacko-TOUCANTHREE, an age-old name by the staff of yesteryear.

If you do not like long posts, are going to post something like "I'm not reading that", then do not post. Simple.

This isn't a flame post, an offensive post, it's an opinion post. If I
get banned then it's pretty terrible modding IMHO. I mean, free speech
is part of the world today, and if I get banned for having an opinion
that differs from a lot of people's on here then that is pretty bad IMO.

    Anyway, moving on.

I don't play Habbo anymore. I left 'cause it got boring. I play World
of Warcraft (Shameful advertising, not that it needs it) now, and it's
a lot more fun than pixel characters and "furni".

    Anyway, about Habbox.

I was here at the start, and left, and came back, and left, and came
back, and then I finally left for good. I have met and worked with
many, many good staff nowadays, and also some TERRIBLE ones, might I
    add.

First point about sierk. I never had a problem with sierk ever, I
actually thought he was quite cool, until I mentioned something about
changing something to do with Habbox or something. His exact line was
"If you say something like that again I'll fire you". Bit harsh, if I
    do say so myself.

Now, some people like to do things there way, and in his other post
something along the lines of "Me and DJ-3000 didn't agree one some
things." Well, welcome to the real world. Not everyone agrees with what
other people do. And, I am admitting even I, am not right all the time,
although I do a damn good job at it.

I don't know what happened with jrh2002/DJ-3000/the others, but I think
I am fair to say you lost some of the best, hardest working staff
members you will ever find. DJ-3000 (although personally I think he has
got a bit big-headed, but it's understandable with the amount of
spotlight he got threw into in a short period of time).

The radio was run like a prison. Although some leniance was allowed (such as when my mic would NOT turn off (damn laptop intergrated mics) and I a) Talked on the phone, giving out my dads mobile number in the process and b) Swore a lot - not my fault, I'm northern ) You got told off for being late, for being early, but most DJs were good.

I have nothing against Habbox, and again I have no idea what has been going on, but I think Habbox has made a big mistake with the letting go/giving them a chance to leave of the staff.

    Also, the topic sierk made...Linky!

That is pretty much saying "We don't care the staff are gone, you were all rubbish anyway." I mean this childish hostility has to stop. First off you run Habbox with an iron fist, and if anyone questions your actions you threaten to fire them, and now it's "Oh yeah all your hard work...I don't care."
And face it, they did put a lot of hard work in. You don't get any rewards for being Habbox staff - a forum (wow!) random FR (wow!) and sometimes "DwH we hate *staffname*" people, but they do it for free.

Now I'm not here to call new staff members names, but they have a big pair of boots to fill in a very, very short space of time.

Those staff (and members alike) who know me and have stayed this long, I salute you for your patience.

I've always said Habbox could be great. Always. I had ideas, I had plans, I knew things that could happen, but my ideas weren't given a chance. Now I wish I had persisted with them.

In my opinion, Habbox is on its last legs. Personally you are fighting a losing battle.

And for God sakes please surprise me this one time without banning the person who posts and doesn't agree with your views. Hence putting:

"This isn't a flame post, an offensive post, it's an opinion post."

Goodnight, looking forward to the replies and the "OMGZ JACKO U R SUCH A NUB!!!!1!!1!!SHIFT+ONE" ones

Seriously though, nice to see you again, i had forgotten, i mean almost forgotten about you.

I don't like taking sides or having too much of an input in this fiasco cause it probably won't do me any good, but i'm not going to deny that some of what you said probably is true. Personally i don't think the radio was run like a prison, i think that was jrh's determination to get the radio organised and professional.

Prison was a bad example - I meant that prisons were run efficiently and work perfectly. I believe, IMO, that the radio was like this. It worked well.

I didn't that you go in the showers and get your head kicked in, or even worse drop the soap *shudders*

Edit: And nice to see you too
