2012,end of the world?

Did anyone see that prog ages about mayan civilisation,they predicted the assination of an important figure (the prophecy was fulfilled and Diana died) and they also predicted that the world has 5 generations/cycles...unfortunately the end of the 5th cycle happens to be 2012 and guess what...scientists have seen a comet which is predicted to hit earth in 2012 if its path is clear.

I heard it was going to end in 2000, then 2002, then 2006 so I guess people are just insanely crazy about the world ending. It will end when the sun explodes. But by then we will all be dead either sitting on fluffy clouds or burning in hell.
