ANY TIPS ON GAMING ROOMS GIVE ME SOME IDEAS PLZ

I have made a few games before, and what I have learnt is;

+ People love an original game, or one that adds something new to existing games.

+ Be creative, if you have an idea, but are unsure if it will work: try it out!

+ Make the room look good. Stacking, Flat-Stacking (if you can do it) and mainly furniture that goes together is very important. Many games room owners seem to avoid making their room look good which is a shame as I personally feel playing in a room with furniture that relates to the game in whatever way, makes it more enjoyable.

+ Remember being a games room owner isn't neccesairily a get rich quick scheme. If you do "Pay to stays", "Revenge" etc you will probably find that not all that many people bother with them and you will still need to give a prize!

+ Be patient, once you have your room set up as I find, the Games Room category is somewhat of a n00b magnet. No matter how many stickies you have up explaining the game people will still ask "How do I play!?" I personally have insutrctions to my games on hotkeys so each time someone asks I just hit a Function key. It saves you time, and also keeps the person happy.

+ A games room while fun for you to 'host' at first will soon become boring. Get your friends involved to host games, but be careful with who you allow to host as there are a lot of devious people about who will scam P2S's etc,which inevitably in the will probably give you a bad name.


Thats all I can think of for now, I guess you wanted some idea's for rooms. But that should be left upto you. I do not know what you will find enjoying. Some people enjoy hosting Race games, some quizzes, some present traps..
