Default User error is LEGIT according to MOD-Mandi!

    Hey,

Here is some sickening news. I kept complaining to MOD's about users registering about 10 variations of enom with dots, comma's, etc.. and I had a lil argument and basically I've been told what they are doing is not scamming, it is user error.

So guys, how are you legaly able to earn funi without paying? Go into Private Rooms as the owners name with a dot at the end and trade with those P2S etc!!

Seek below screenie for proof from MOD-Mandi via Hobba Says:

Other alerts I didn't screenie included her saying "Habbo Hotel is not responsible for furniture lost due to user error" "There is no proof users with similar names are scamming".

So basically no-one did anything and all my users got scammed. Its meant to be a n00b friendly place, yet they don't use their commen sense and say those with similar names hovering in a door way is fine and are deffo not scamming?

    Pathetic I say.

it is however up to users to bet the right person and check these things. it is hard for them to prove what is happening! dont you think? I think its pathetic the people who actually do it.

The problem is when someone has a fullstop after a username it is very hard to tell whether it is a scammer or not your trading with. Especially for those new to Habbo, it can be very difficult.

I reckon Habbo should ban users who are just using the owners similar name and are just stood in the doorway.

But they don't have proof they are scamming anyone, Unless they are caught asking for pw's or anything similar, They cannot ban

Article is absolutely right I know exactly what he is gettin at. you can't ban someone for having a similar name as someone else. Maybe that person just wanted to have the original name and couldn't so made an alteration. That doesn't make him a scammer. It's all technicalities and complications, although lots of people get banned for nothing, on Habbo you're innocent until proven guilty.

She didn't say to go and do it, but it's the users fault if they don't pay attention. And you can't sit there and complain about it when you said for people to go and do it (sarcasticly or not)..if people stopped and payed a little bit more attention to things, people wouldn't get scammed.
