My mum made this for me when I was about 7! It really does work! If your little bro or sis or even you cant sleep at xmas, I think this shall really help you! (Sorry about the length, but mum had to explain it to me when I was little!) I just typed this up as it may be useful for u!
My 6 point sleep plan
1. Find a perfume or spray which calms you down, and then spray it all around your room and on your pajamas to calm you down, and relax you. Lavender I one of the best ones to use!
2. Have a really boring book beside you to read and send you into the land of nod! Also, you may have things to dream about! If you read a book you will tire your eyes out and you will just want to sleep!
3. Set a time to wake up. EG – 6:00am minimum – 7:00am maximum. It means your parents get a lie in, and you don’t get up tooooo early and run downstairs. It may be tempting, but don’t!
4. Have a hot bath with bubbles to calm you down, and then dry in the fluffiest, warmest towel, and then change into your coziest pajamas. This shall relax you and means that you are all clean and fresh to snooze!
5. Do some light exercise before bed to tire those muscles! For example – Dance, run, skip, hop, jump, sit up’s, star jumps, gymnastics, step aerobics, stretches and loads of other fun things! If it’s snowing, have a snowball fight to wear you out. You can be healthy, have fun, wear yourself out and get fit!
6. Go to bed a little later than you usually would so then your eyes will shut straight away, and you will have a peaceful sleep, and probably stay in bed longer!
If you follow these handy hints –
A) Your parents will love you
B) You have a good nights sleep
C) You don’t see Santa
D) You feel good for the morning ahead
E) You get to have lots of surprises in the morning!
Keeping calm on Christmas Eve is very important, as lots of children wake and see Santa! You can’t do that!
