Papa Roach are to set up a studio in a Los Angeles mansion to record their follow-up to last year’s album, Getting Away With Murder. “We’re going to live together and just go crazy, monk-style,” says frontman Jacoby Shaddix. “It was inspired by Led Zeppelin going and doing records in a castle and Red Hot Chili Peppers in the Houdini mansion up in the Hollywood Hills.” Shaddix also reveals that the new album will be a farther departure from their nu-metal sound. “I’ve been listening to a lot of records like AC/DC and Mötley Crüe,” he explains. “I’m a music *****, I mix it up.” The as-yet-untitled album is scheduled for a 2006 release.
