Angry Schwarzer to leave Middliesbrough :'(

Yup, that is correct. Middlesbrough's main Goalkeeper has decided to leave after years of been with them This is taken from the offical site (www.mfc.co.uk):

    Brad Starts Against Nuneaton

BORO boss Steve McClaren has confirmed that Brad Jones will replace transfer-listed Mark Schwarzer in goal for tomorrow's FA Cup tie at Nuneaton.

Jones will step in to replace his fellow Aussie at Manor Park after the club "reluctantly" accepted Schwarzer's transfer request on Friday morning.
Asked whether he intended to leave Schwarzer out even before he handed in a written transfer request, McClaren answered: "The decision was taken away by Mark's actions, so Brad will play against Nuneaton. Brad has always done well for us and he'll get another chance now. Schwarz will be on the bench."
While stressing that he was "shocked and disappointed" by Schwarzer's decision, McClaren told mfc.co.uk: "You only want players that are happy to be here.
"Mark has been my number one ever since I came here, so it did come as a surprise. I've always said he is one the best 'keepers in the Premiership, though he's had one or two erratic performances lately."

Boro have confirmed that they will listen to offers for Schwarzer, the club's all-time most-capped player, but McClaren stressed that it was far from certain the 33-year-old would leave during the January transfer window.
"A lot would need to happen for Schwarz to leave this month," he said. "If he does go, then we'll have to look at alternatives, but we have some very good goalkeepers already at the club."
Apart from Schwarzer and Jones, England youth 'keepers Ross Turnbull and David Knight are also on the club's books, though both are currently out on loan.
Turnbull, who celebrated his 21st birthday on Wednesday, is spending the rest of the season with Crewe in the Championship. Knight, who is 19 on January 15, is on emergency loan at Boro's neighbours, Darlington, for whom he recently made his Football League debut.

He'll go anywhere instead of Boro, thus the transfer request.
