I just fought the demon and almost died!

I used guides for my quests, and salmoneus says you can go on the arena edge then mage it. But I cant, because I go on the edge, then try and use a spell on it but just run towards it. Then it mages me and hit a 20+ on me :S Is there a place where you can mage it and it cant mage you?

werent u using protect prayer :S maybe thats why it hit a 20

U get it stuck round the sides of the middle part cus i killed it with 74 water blasts and no prayers.

You gota run for awhile around that square so it gets stucked.. o_o you don't just stay on one edge and expect it to get stucked.

I fought it in the corner where it spawns at o.O

It got stucky behind the gnomes. =D

Well if it gets stuck can you mage it without having to run onto the main platform?

My method I just did rocks:

Stand at the side for 5-10 mins.

Run into the centre with protect from melee and use 4 air death rune spells. I cant believe it, so difficult trying to fight, so easy letting the little gnomes do it, using only 4 death runes.
