    Question Homophobic

Well, I want to discuss about being homophobic. I'm not homophobic, but I rather not be around gay or bi people, so by me saying stuff that reffers to gay people, people classify me as a homophobe just because I say something that they believe is offending, so what? Its a forum, where opinions can be shared and posted. I also hate it how people think all homophobes are immature, trust me, by looking at some gay-bi-fakers here and in the media/community, I think its the other way around. So stop acting like the people you hate to be.

Actually, this may be due to yourself questioning your own sexuality. I'm not saying you're gay/bi, but it's a possibility if you're avoiding a situation which requires the contact with gay/bi individuals that may spark a sense of fear that you might enjoy yourself. You're not a homophobe, but you're insecure. You're not immature, but you're probably not open-minded.

Yes, a forum is a place where opinions can be placed or posted, and then those opinions are commented about, crtiqued, and analyzed. It's the price of posting something on the Internet. If you would rather not have your thought critiqued, it would be best to not post your feelings at all because, honestly, no one cares- this is just to relieve boredom and little or no thought is put into responses (such as my own).

I don't belive you are a homophobic person and every one has there opinions on things. I personally have no problem with gay or bi people because normal there a lot more 'funnier.' In fairness people 'diss' the gays all the time as a lot of people say ''oh that's so gay'' and things like that which could lead them to been homophobic.

No, id say your homophobic. Homophobia is simply a fear of gays, hence being aukward around them, scared if you will. SO judging from your above statement i would say thats the case.
Homophobia often causes the vilent reactions many people seem to think it refers to, but thats realy just how some small minded people react "/

And as has been said, its usealy a biproduct of not being secure in your own sexualty "/

Personaly i dont realy cair ether way "/

I'm quite open minded, even as a clatholic it's 'mortally wrong' :| to have relations with the same gender with is complete bull! I don't mind gays, even though if I said that to anyone in school I'd be branded as gay.

Don't worry Moose, I don't think you're gay or homophobic. In fact I know a great deal of people in real life who have the same opinions as you.

I personally think thaat the way you feel is fine. Not everybody can love the attitudes and opinions of the gay community (I'm not saying that they all have the same opinion).

I have a lot of gay friends (I'm at university) and I regularly go to gay clubs, but I know that certain people will never come and that's fine by me. If you dont like the 'scene' then that's fine, you don't have to go.

    Everyones different.

No, I'm not homophobic, I'm ok with gay/bi/lesbians. They don't bother me at all but, I rather stay away from them. I know a few from my school, and well... They are quite immature... trust me, they are.

And from the above statements, are all straight people gay? If you see a straight couple, you think out of the blue if they are gay? No, I'm not homophobic and I'm not insecure of my own sexuality. I know that I am straight, and I choose to be that, just like how gay people choose to be gay.

This thread is to talk about how all homophobes seem to be immature.
