How do i make them scroll up & down and not across because on my cutenews page it expands across and looks dodgy but on my jobs page it's fine.

You mean get rid of the bottom bar?
On CuteNews, go into Optins, and then templates. in the templates, they each have a width set. you can edit the width to the size of your page
