I was banned after my "friend" p mod reported me.
I told him that i traded my habbo for runescape cash, and as soon as i pressed enter I knew I'd made a mistake, but as he's my friend i expected nothing bad to happen.
Little did I know he'd put some stupid rule before one of his best friends and report me for "real world item trading".
It's only a 3 day ban, but thats 3 days of membership that I've paid for and 3 days where i planned to get 94 theiving. 2 "black marks" on my account have now ruined my hope of being a player mod so that when I reported people, Jagex would actually listen.
Now the question is: Did I deserve to be banned at all?
Firstly I asked on this forum, quite a while ago, whether this type of trading was legal. Every response said YES.
To make sure of it, I checked the runescape rules. Rule 12 is as follows:
Rule 12 - Real World Item Trading
RuneScape items must only be exchanged for other items/services within the game.
Exchanging RuneScape items for items or other benefits in other online games, real-life money or other real-life benefits is not allowed.
I may just be stupid, but the way I read this is that if you trade YOUR runescape items for something outside the game, you broke the rule. After reading it several times over, I've come to the conclusion that I'm stupid.
If this is against the runescape rules, why does such a forum exist on habbox forum? Why does no one else get banned for it? Why was I told that it was OK to do this?
If it's against the runescape rules I suggest it's taken down before others start getting banned for it.
