Default Telling Friends - Yes or No? Help!

    Hey,

Today I was this close to coming out:

    -

Then, I decided not to. I don't know why.

The thing that stopped me is different peoples reactions. Obviously my friends wouldn't care, but, people that are like 'chavs' or 'cool' people could take the mick. Like, I would ask my friends to keep it secret, but then, if one of them told someone else, I just need to know some different reactions.

Please don't all say, "just ignore them", "just go for it", "they won't say anything", "not real friends" blah blah.. It isn't helpful to me =]

    Please Help,

    - Nick xx

Why can't people on this forum make decisions for themselves?

I find with my friends that I tell them secrets, etc, as I am bi, blah blah, they have a massive argument with me, before you know it the whole year is taking the bs out of me.

It depends on how much you trust your friends, it's all about trust if you're going to tell them that you are gay/bi etc.

You should only tell your best mates if your only young, especially while your in school as the last thing you want is to end up being picked on by some kids, unless you are 100% proud of your sexuality and want to flaunt it then tell them all.

Should you or shouldn't you? That's the same question i have.

For now, no. Maybe tell 1 really good freind? But the risk of telling a group of freinds is one of them will say something. Well, there is more of a chance.

Yeah, I want to tell me mates too but, I heard them talking today about people who are gay and they said things like 'ewww' and now I've just had a massive argument with them over it.

But I suppose you gotta do whats right for you, tell people you only trust and people who don't care what your sexuality is

Yeah I get where youre coming from, there is one person I think I can trust, but I'm not overly sure. Same sort of problem as you, encase she says somthing... One of my boy mates, Ross he knows but, he won't say anything and I know that for a fact but, he doesn't mention it, suppose thats a good thing though?
