I posted a thread a week ago complaining about lag on RuneScape, but there's just something wrong. When I play it on low detail it takes ages to do everything, even though my PC is pretty good at 512mb ram and 1.5ghz celeron processor. I got the latest Java, and even tried using SwiftSwitch, but still it is really slow at loading and playing.

wipe your computer of all the crap on it, get rid of all those dirty pics/random files etc

Toss out that useless junk like Word, Powerpoint, etc.... Then you can keep your pictures =]

1.5ghz isn't that fast really, but get rid of those little programs that do nothing, and if you are using norton that won't help, avg free does a better job than norton and doesn't lag you
