Default Scariest game you ever played?

Well when it comes to scary... thats nothing to me... I survived Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Fatal Frame. But when I encountered Eternal Darkness I just felt like going crazy. As you play there are women and babies crying being tortured and knifes being sharpened. Gahh I hate that it messes with your mind. Also you get a lot of mean stuff happening to you like:

    • Disturbing sounds, including women and children crying out of fear and pain, the sound of a blade being sharpened, accompanied by the whimpering and screams of its victim.
    • Paintings turning to nightmarish depictions, eg. an idyllic mountain landscape turns to hell on Earth.
    • Walls and ceilings bleeding. Attacking them causes more effusion.
    • When casting a spell, the player character’s body above the waist explodes.
    • Appearance of large numbers of monsters that are not really there, and disappear when attacked.
    • Opening the menu screen and finding that all items are gone.
    • Volume lowering accompanied by a graphical effect simulating the television volume lowering.
    • An effect simulating the television suddenly turning off
    • Going to save the game and having all saved games ‘deleted’.
    • Head falling off and then beginning to recite Shakespeare when it’s picked up.
    • Character or monsters shrinking or growing.
    • A version of the blue screen of death.
    • Statues and busts turning to look at the character. They turn back to original position when the character faces them.
    • Character whimpering and babbling to him or herself.
    • A “to-be-continued” message thanking the player and promising continuation in a sequel game (Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Redemption).
    • Body parts systematically falling off one-by-one.
    • Player inability to control the character, accompanied by a “No Controller” message as monsters attack the character.
    • “Deep into that darkness...” quote displaying, giving the appearence of the game having reset.
    • Character walking into a room from a previous or future chapter.
    • Character sinking into the floor like quicksand.
    • Character accidentally shooting him- or herself while reloading, only to find it didn’t actually happen.
    • Character entering a room on the ceiling; after a while the player finds him- or herself back outside the door used to enter the room.
    • Character observing the “camera” itself, screaming, and firing upon it, producing a bullet hole in the virtual glass.
    • Entering a room as a zombie, forced to wander the environment in this form until destroyed (and thereafter reappearing at the room’s entrance as though nothing had happened).
    • Finding a man on a noose hanging in the piano room, and examining it will cause... not going to spoil it.
    • Seeing the character after suicide in the bathtub, accompanied by a scream and flash.
    • Having your game data "deleted".
    • Getting the "disc error, please consult to your nintendo gamecube booklet".

    And more... gahh

I hardly play 'scary games' probaly most scaryest one I've played is Geist. (Which isnt really that scary) I hate it when it makes you jump.

I don't play scary games either, but I played this game when I was younger, called Dino Crisis or something. It kinda made me scared of Dinosaurs.

Silent Hill 2 is quite scary, but I don't see video games as 'scary' as such.
