Your one major issue is Text mate, find some good clean fonts don't go for god-awful effects all the time.

sorry dont like the layout at all, especially the text I think the problem is the anti-aliasing and the stroke.. try pixel fonts such a visitor or serious (you can find them at dafont.com) also you might want to tone down the scanlines very low to where you can barely see them I think it gives it a better effect rather than them being so vibrant 5/10 on the layout keep working you'll get it
