What's the deal with The Old Nite?

This is a long topic - Please read all of it

The Old Nite. As most players know he was in the top five. A friend of Zezima. Known to many players across runescape.

As many of us know, he saddly passed away. He died from cancer. We know this infomation because a friend of The Old Nite was contacted by his sister (The Old Nites sister) though Runescape and was asked to spread the word. He was involed with Tip.It and they posted it after.

Soon some runescapecommunity members started to post and then it was all over runescape. So many rumores being made up. I read a lot of topics about this on a number of forums and have discussed my views about this on a few topics and to a few players.

The Old Nite was seen as one of the top three runescape players. He was ranked 1# before you think "Whats he on about? Zezima is!!!1!". That's not 100% true, on a review by Zezima made on tip.it, he said that he thinks Zezima (Himself) and The Old Nite are at the same rank and both diseve to be number one. The Old Nite has been training very hard, very long to try to keep up and should be joint number one.

I have spoken to him on runescape before and he seemed very nice. We didn't talk for long because Im sure he was being spammed by other people. He is a nice person and diseves respect for being a good player.

People are putting "R.I.P The old nite" I dont really have a problem with this, but I dont see the point. Loads of runescape players have died, I used to know one perosn who commited suicide because of events on Runescape. The full topic is on the HoF (Heros of the futer) forums or used to be. He never got any of this. He was in the news etc.

Somebody has made a sig saying he touched the lives of many. He was a player, who played a game. He worked hard, he didn't give up, he spent countless hours on runescape. Most of us work hard, we dont give up, we play for countless hours. Just because he was on the top scores and was known by many just because of that?

He just played the game, how can you say he touched our lives? He just got to a high score on a game. He was a nice person and I respect him for that but he didn't touch our lives. He gave me some advice and Im greatfull because of that but I dont think he touched my life.

Sure he may of touched some of the people he knew in real life or was very close friends on the internet, but he didn't touch millions of players.

That's jut what I think. Please remember the rules before posting and I will be making proper replys with views of your views.

He was just a old man that played runescape and died and everybody is making him out like a hero when at the end of the day he wasnt and im sorry he died but when i see the sigs and stuff i just don`t see the point i mean if i died tommorw would i get this much woteveryamacallit ?nope i dont think so ..
