    Default Metabalism?

When Will My Metabalism Kick In?
My Brother's One Kicked In When He Was In Year 9
I Am In Year 8, Still Not Kicked In Yet.
    Thanks

Your metabolism doesn't 'kick in' every one has a metabolism , it just depends on the metabolic rate which is how fast your body uses energy for chemical reactions , theirs four main factors which can detemine your metabolic rate which is inherited factors , proportion of fat to muscle , your age and how much you exercise. Basicly more exercise should speed up your metabolic rate.

It cant kick in, but it can change. Mine was poor but now its brilliant. Im one of those people who could eat 40 pounds of meat and lose weight

it's how fast your body breaks down food [sort of]

if you have a fast one, you tend to be skinny. if someones is slow, they tend to be larger than others [not nesiscarily [sp] fat]

and if you have a fast one, you may be hungry alot more and not able to put weight on.

Normally as people get a lot older it changes, ie once you become middle aged will slow down. It shouldnt change too drastically yet.

A high metabolism means you break down fats faster, low metabolism means you break down food slower. People these days don't research enough about themselves before going on a diet. You should really work out whether you have a high or low metabolism, what weight you are etc and then begin a regime of healthy foods and exercise.
One thing people expect is that if they diet, eating healthy foods etc.. they wonder why there not loosing alot of weight, you have to except that exercise is needed whilst dieting.
