Low detail and high detail

I normally use high detail, but I accidently pressed low and logged in...

Does low detail have sound effects but no music?

Cause I remember but ages ago, low detail had no sounds at all, and when you press the music option, it would state that your using low detail... thanks

Yeah, im pretty sure low detail has no sound whatsoever, but it might have sound effects, not sure, I always use high detail so meh.

a while back it didnt have sounds but now it does - i still dont use them because i have music playing

cant see in side houses or wut ever unless ur in it or over it

Doesnt sound effects adds to the memory it uses?

Wouldnt ppl with rundown computers lol, be angry that jagex did this, as it may lag? or people with no speakers, so they dont need sound.
