    Default Is your school racist?

    Hi guys.

Just thought I'd create a wee thread to get users opinion on whether their school's are racist or not, however this is in no way trying to offend any religions and if anyone post's rude comments etc. towards people they will be removed.

Basically, I would say my school is racist. However, you'd probably expect them to be racist towards the muslim community within my school, generally because in this day in age, unfortunately that's the race in which most racism is aimed at. Although, in my school - although all the staff are white and it is actually a catholic school - they seem to be more racist towards the Catholic's and white people.

Basically, in our school, part of the uniform includes a white shirt and black formal trousers. However, most of the muslims often where black shirts instead of white, but nothing is ever said to them, whereas any time white Christians are wearing black shirts, we are being sent home and warned we will be suspended if we do it again?

Aswell as this, it's the same with black combat trousers.

Now I'm not trying to say that the muslims should be the ones who are discriminated against, not at all, but however, I think the whole school should be treated as one community and we should all have the same standards and rules.

It's as though the teachers etc. are afraid of asking the muslims not to wear black shirts, simply incase they come off as racist or if they get in trouble etc. but if that's the case, then they shouldn't have the gaul to ask the white Christians either.

(Lol sorry, I'm just in the mood for a bit of a moan and this came in to my head when I was reading the education forum. :p)

Anyway, I'd love all of your opinions on this and I'd like to know any experiences or cases any of you guys have with your school being racist towards any different ethnic community.

    Thanks.

A german teacher was racist to a guy in my school, told him to "Stop swinging on the curtains, as you do in trees in your homeland"

EIther that or when she said to him later:

"You're not in the jungle anymore."
    goodbye.

It's just for modesty. I should know since I'm muslim. But I guess that's unfair, they should allow all students to wear trousers to make it fair for everyone.

Anyway, no, my school isn't racist. In Singapore, we have people of all sorts of races, and over here it's very important we have harmony among all races. No race is better than the other. Even if we are different, we're still one people, singaporeans. That's why we have Racial Harmony Day.

Unfortunately, I have to say, my school is incredibly racist.
It is predominantly apparent in those that come from a questionable background; in the sense that racism is common in that family.
Such racism is typically against Muslims, though there is some racism against black people.

Lol yeh it just shows that even if school's there's racism within the whole systems themselves, and the different races which are discriminated against.

Like my school is white's being racist to white's... =S lol

Whereas as said, in some others the racism is against the muslims etc.
