Inspired by the best guitarist thread, who do you guys think is the best bass player around?


Matt Freeman (Rancid, Operation Ivy, Transplants) is insane IMO.

Omg guys check out Jaco Pastorius, he'll blow you away. Not a good one but if you have limewire then download the some songs of his, i can't keep up lol.

Best well known bassists are Flea, Matt Freeman, Tim Commerford but my personal fav is Dirk Lance, i love playing his funky licks.
