No way, you couldn't do everything with just full rune. You'll need to buy better armour eventually. Plus you'll die sometime....

As Jon just said, you cannot train all in rune, for example you cant train your mage in it.

Oh, the majority of monsters you need to kill for quests i find easy to slay with rune.
