aight im plannnig to get good mage range and melee but for my def do u think i should leave it to 1 or 40 cuz if i leave it to 1 everything can hit me even rats lol

depends really.. because in the wilderness you will be hitting hard and they will be confused and they will be eating so they wont hit you much.

But on the other hand having the defence makes training a whole lot more easier (and cheaper )

Yes, keep it on one. That way people won't call you a def n00b and you won't level that quick.
