For WLM I want to show it in my Personal message what I'm playing in iTunes. I've clicked on 'turn on what im listening to' but it says I need to get Windows Media 9 or later, but I only have iTunes.

Once you've downloaded Windows Media player 9 it should work if not untick the box and tick it again where it says "what I'm listening to".
lets go, somewhere amazing.
so my explanation is good rite ?![]()

And I can't install Windows Media 10 cos my dad thinks its too 'hard' to work, and I will have hell coming at me because there's nothing wrong with the old one, and why do i 'need to show music on msn'.

umm.. is itunes set as your default music player?
itunes works fine for me in WLM.
Right click a music file, and select properties.
Opens with: Press change and select iTunes.
iTunes works fine for me but i can't really remember how i got it to work.
ok i found this on google
If that doesnot work open up media player > tools > Plugins > Uncheck windows live messangerFound THE answer. It's weird but it WORKS; no un/re-install; no registry hack.
In MSN Messenger go to Tools / Options / General and check 'Open Messenger main window when Messenger starts.'
Fixes the problem permanently.
(This bug was driving me nuts -- I had NO problems with iTunes/Messenger working on one computer but I could never get it to work consistently on a second computer. This fixed the problem IMMEDIATELY).
