About sending BAD reputation points:

Are any Bad reputations points valid? Because all they seem to be is removed from peoples CP's because they don't want them there. The reputation system is built on a user based opinion.

Don't understand? Let me explain:

Good post/Good picture/Good Alteration/Funny Comment = POSITIVE REPUTATION

Bad post/Bad picture/Bad Alteration/Racist/adusive comments = NEGATIVE REPTUATION

That is what it should be used for because it is about a person opinion on the other persons good or bad post.

You see a bad post, (IT'S YOUR OPINION) The bad rep is given to the person who posted and it is a VALID rep.

But thats not how it is at the moment, it's: See a bad post, give a bad rep, the user complains because he doesn't want it, he gets it removed just because it's there.

How can you even have the reputation system if they are just taken away like that. There are some exceptions where they should be removed. No comments, abusive comment, swearing and anything else rude.

Yup, [Points to quote] said that. =P I'm sick of users complaining when I send them bad rep's because of their bad posts and then they just find a random post of mine and bad rep it back saying something stupid like "Returning your bad rep" "Don't bad rep me for my post". [Rolls eyes]

I agree. For example I have a bad-rep for a clearly immature post which I was annoyed at but it's correct therfore I don't ask for it to be removed. Personally I believe the admin team should be more selective with what reputation they move, and also positive pointless rep should be removed as well.

I tend to, as a rule, good rep all truly outstanding/really funny posts, and negative rep all rule-breaking, spamming or stupid posts. However, negative rep for a differing opinion, as revenge or for a bad alteration is just immature.

Im one of the few people who remove pointless rep and iknow for one if i see a vaild red rep it stays there.

Good alt, good rep, bad alt, bad rep. Whats the difference? You reward good for good. Why not bad for bad?

Well if your going to bad rep everyone who has done a bad alteration in your mind then you are crazy and low. It's not like they did it to deliberately get at you.
Just because they aren't good enough and up to your standards doesn't mean they should suffer the concequences. Just give them CC and leave it. It's hardly going to help them improve.
Edit:
I see valid bad rep in the alterations forum if it is given for stealing alterations and making them to insult people and they shouldnt get removed. Not if somone makes an alteration because they are new to it or just had trouble or you set your standards to high. I find those as pointless.
But it would seem that Barkseh does support bad rep for alterations that aren't good enough for your standards.
So in reality that could mean I could bad rep every alt creator in the elites simply because their alts aren't up to 'my standards' and get away with it..

If someone bad repped me for my alteration not being up to their standards I would see me bad repping them for their unfair comment valid.
