The theme for Red Nose Day 2005 is Big Hair & Beyond, so get those wigs out from the back of your cupboard. Always knew there would be an occasion to wear it!

Last year me and my friend did crazy hair styles, I had mine in huge spikes and we took our dogs out with with red collars and noses stuck to the collars. We raised £380 and had alot of fun. My friend tried to curl her fringe first but overlapped the curls so we had to cut the comb out! I wont let her live that down!
If there is a person that looks in your eyes
and say For you that they would die,
Well grab them by the arm,
    look at them striaght,say
If you did would you wait at the gate?
If they say yes coz they love you,
look at them sweetly and say
    I love you too!

Sure we're helping charity, but some of the charities Comic Relief gives support to is are charites willing to help girls have abortions.
As a Roman Catholic school, we don't support it.

Another thing that annoys me is the way the BBC have a massive telefon (Spelling?) for it. Something annoys me about the fact that celebrities get free air time for helping a charity. Look at the RNLI. They save lives everyday around our costs, but they aren't making enough money. Then Comic Relief is rakeing in over £23m ?! Something not right there.

The red noses are annoying. They hurt your nose and are a massive gimmick.

If your going to support a charity. Make sure you check out what they do first. Dont support them just because celebrities support them, support them because you believe in what they do.

My RE teacher's daughter died last year of a cancerous tumour. (I thought I might add for Teessidians, that she has an Eddie Stolbart (Spelling?) lorry names after her!) She's set up a charity called the Katie Trust, and we regularly support this charity at our school with fundrasing.
The Great North Air Ambulance may be grounded due to lack of funding after the Tsunami appeal. I'm not trying to be insensitive, but I prefer to see my money actually working, and I don't mean on TV.

I think its sad how we are able to raise over 500 million for foregn people in under a week and only make £337 million in like 10 years.

Dont get me wrong, both are good causes but have we forgot who we should protect?

I kind of agree. An african person dies every three seconds. More people die in a week there then people in the tsunami did in two. Whats with that? No-one wants to support oxfam for £2 a month yet people will pay £15 for that one disaster. Its as if saying 'they're are used to hunger they'll get over it' but also saying ' it was a really bad flood lets help'. I try to support both the tsunami appeal and oxfam when I can, but I still like red nose day, because you can let your hair down.
