All i thought ya had to do was the images and skin thing through the admincp but its not right? What have i gotta upload theu FTP? the xml?

You could do that, but that doesn't work for me for some reason. Try doing it to FTP, just upload it inside your forum folder and CHMOD it to 0777 or something. Then go back to AdminCP and type in where your skin is located on your FTP.
