Well, being scottish i HAVE been to loch ness and many lochs. loch's aint even squares? and use something that might resemble like sea **** and little water plants - bonsai's around the edge also make it uneven edged?

getting better... but change the black mat's to brown rugs, if possible and put it below the other rugs and put bonsai's on top.

I was thinking about the brown rugs idea but decided to go against it because
it would stick out to much of the side wall.

hide them UNDER the other rugs and plants?
and you need small plants. aloe veras and bonsai's.
