MY ping wont go down +4 rep

Are you are someone else on your network downloading anything (This includes p2p and programs like Bittorrent)? Also the ping is effected by your network/internet connection NOT HARDWARE - God how many times do I have to say this!!

If the servers your playing on are located in japan and your in the uk then your ping will be high other then that stop your downloads?

Yes but it shouldent be as high as that even if it is on the other side of the world.

i was downloadin a game i think that was why it was so high its normally 30

I was experiencing a bit of lag yesterday. However, Steam had an update going, they updated the radar so this may be the solution to your ping being so high. Mines fine now.
