    Default Girl Trouble!

    Urgh.
Ok so im going out with this girl i met at the cinemas.
Shes real nice and friendly, one problem though.

    Her mam doesnt like me.
She doesnt want me hanging around with Nicola.
She thinks im gunna get her hurt or something, she only thinks this cause she seen me infront of the shops at night with all my friends.
She thinks im a thug or something and tries everything so i carnt see Nicola.
Like i was gunna go to the town with her and her mam suddenly needed to go to morrisons and needed Nicola to go with her.
Even knowing we had planned it.

She's getting on my nerves big time.
What should i do to make her at least like me and trust me?

Give it time I guess. If you could go round her house you'd be able to show her mum you're really like.
What has your girlfriend said about it?

Trust is one of these things you have to earn! Sometimes this can take a while, other times it can be achieved quickly.
The question is how to do it :confused_ Firstly, if she thinks you are a thug, you are going to need to prove her wrong... how? I am not sure
Secondly, you are going to have to sacrifice one or two things for Nicola. You want to spend time with her, so to make her mum feel better, spend time with her without all your mates, and do it somewhere else rather than in front of the shops it will take time, but maybe eventually her mum will realise that when it comes to her daughter, you genuinely like her and she is safe being with you.
Maybe also you could arrange to meet her mum? Take out the problem head on and get to know this worried parent!

That's all I have I am afraid, unlike Ostinato, I am pretty poor at this advice thing.

That's a shame, but her mums just trying to look after her. People often get the wrong impression of others by one or two simple acts, in this case by seeing you perhaps out in the street etc. she might think your a bit of a 'chav' or something, but at the end of the day shes going to need to get to grips with the fact that her daughter needs to make her own mistakes in life and she can't rule who she see's and doesn't see.

Say to this girl your worried her mum may not like you and have the wrong impression of you. If your ever maybe at hers or something, just dress smart and do your best to make a good impression, but don't try and be something your not - because that's just against the whole point of it, and if she can't accept who you are then that's her problem - not yours.

If you're just messing around with this girl, then why does her mum need to know you're together?

I seriously don't blame her mum if some of the stuff you've said before is true. You've made a few threads about your gang/gang friends/gang crimes etc., all of which shows that you're not a great person for a young lady to be around. If I had a daughter and she wanted to hang around with someone who went around bashing up cars and spraying walls whilst blind drunk, I'd probably move town or something.
