HOW DO I GET NAILVARNISH OFF?!?!!

A week ago I painted my nails UBER bright pink, and they looked FABULOUS but since school is coming up, we are not allowed any bright colours, so I want to sweep over a natural gloss, but I havnt got nail varnish remover and the colour is still on my nails, I have scrubbed them and they wont come off, are there any tricks or hints to help get the colour off?
