Somebody sed to me over msn do you have 100%uptime i sed not quite yet but I am working on it then he sed theres no such thing as 100%uptime I was like *** are you chaffing mate can somebody clear this up for him and can you tell me if theres such thing as 100%uptime there is becasue evo hosting has got 100%

No, check ny site it will always be 99.9%. It's actually true but it's just the websites insurance they can claim that the downtime was that .1

EVOHOSTING.CO.UK doesn't have much downtime, if any at all! My site has never been down while I've been with them (march '06). But yeh, their uptime is fantastic.

100% uptime is possible: The site hasn't gone down since it opened. I don't see how it can't be possible. If you say "for upgrades" etc, that won't count as 100% because it will have gone down. But a site, running on a server that hasn't gone down is 100%.

no 100% uptime isnt possible on any single server. Well unless there ****, in which u get the uptime for a while, then the server dies becuse it hasnt had any of the Upgrades or maintaince it needs.
Up to date software, maintince and stuff like thats pretty important, just like windows, the sever O/s all need there updates and patches to, some which do requre a system reboot "/
Closest you can get is haveing a few backup dedicated drivers to take over in case of a failure or taken off line, as the google system has, although i belive it takes the system around 30 or so seconds to fix itself if one of the servers goes down "/
