Grand Theft Auto? going to go or just propaganda?

well if anyone knows about GTA one of the best shooting games for teenagers, but is it just a fun game? or just bad ideas?

GTA ranges from people who are smaller (below the required age to play this game) to adults.

Rumour is that a few shootings that has happened in the last year was from the ideas GTA gave them, just a few weeks ago police blame GTA for the shooting of two officers.

what do you think of te game other than its "cool" should the age requirement be higher? or selling the game should be more strict? because if more of these incidents happen GTA will be banned and that means no more GTA.

They are using videogames to blame teenage crimes on, and you can't put hte game age limmit higher and most shops don't sell i to under 18s unless there is an adult with them.

ye lol both things r right wot he sed, its only the mentally ill that take games like that to heart and actually do stuff like dat. and it is a gd way to calm down, like if sum1 annoys u n u want 2 kill em just go on a gta shootin spree. i hope it ent guna go neway cos its 1 of the best game series'

Bad parenting leads to kids shooting cops. What do they do? Parents blame it on a video game. In NO way does any type of media (video games, TV, movies, etc.) mess up someone's psychological state THAT much unless that person was mentally incapable of distinguishing what is real from what is virtual from the beginning. Because the parents failed to realize that their child had problems, it's THEIR fault. By suing the company they're obviously in denial and are just out for money. Besides, if every kid who played GTA were to go nuts, North America would be in anarchy by now. It's only a small percentage of whackos who ruin it for the sane population.

It's also worth mentioning about the total utter bias adults and politicians show. If you recall a while ago two kids killed their mom by cutting of her head. The kids claimed they got the idea from The Sopranos, so did they cancel The Sopranos? Nope. They only boycott the things that they don't like.

Often politicians ossociate crime with video games to put the blame away from themselves for not being stricter on such crimes like theft and murder and stuff. And like what Car said above me, you must have something wrong if you cant tell the difference between reality and a game.

it isnt "propaganda". ppl blame the media and use it as an exscuse for behaviour problems, in some ways it is to blame. for a game as popular as GTA it is bound to have some idiot trying it on, it cant be helped as anything like GTA will also suffer from the same problems maybe even the news.
