Default Your Top 5 Albums of All Time + Why!

    1. AC/DC- Back in Black
This was really the album that got me into music. I had Highway to Hell before I got this, but Back in Black really opened my eyes to the power of music. It's so well put together, from the songs themselves to the order in which they appear. This is the album you can blame for making me want to play guitar.

    2. Metallica- Master of Puppets
8 tracks, almost an hour long, but that doesn't mean it's boring. From start to finsh, it is a monster of complexity and aggression. The title track with its clean middle section, to the all-out aggro of Battery, this album is one diverse mutha.

    3.Pantera- Far Beyond Driven
This album mixes blues and metal so successfully. It carries on from the awesome Vulgar Display of Power, but it has a style of its own with awesome classics like 5 Minutes Alone, I'm Broken, and the (mostly) clean Hollow.

    4.Weezer- Weezer (Blue Album)
I love Weezer, they write such simple, feel-good tunes, compared to most of the stuff I listen to anyway. That basically explains the attraction, for me. That, and the fact that Rivers Cuomo is my biological father (Jordan will know what I'm talking about )

    5.Motorhead- Kiss of Death
So it might be a bit recent, but I love it. It's much rawer and heavier than a lot of Motorhead's older stuff, and it sure does show that there's more to them than Ace of bloody Spades. Lemmy's voice growls with a raw energy that proves that age can't stop them. Add to that a killer Metallica cover (Whiplash), and you've got one f**king awesome album.
    I'm Back!

    lol@the rivers thing. :]

    erm ill do it backwards!

    5. blink-182 - The Mark Tom & Travis Show

i picked this, as it has all their best tracks, but it also has added live clips. they have so much energy on stage and are just hilarious. i cant believe i never got to see them ]:

    4. Funeral For A Friend - Hours

wow. i dont know what to say, it's just great. it's pulled me through so much and i love it from start to finish.

    3. From First To Last - Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has A Body Count

such a great range of songs. slow acoustics like emily, and then faster songs like populace in two make it an awesome album. i think this just beats their other album, heroine, cos there's more amazing tracks, whereas heroine is just generally good.

    2. Taking Back Sunday - Louder Now

it's just so good and easy to listen to. possibly the best £7 i've ever spent. got it on release date and just played it and played it ever since!

    1. The Used - The Used

bethie got me into this album. i owe so much to it, because without it, id still be listening to just gangsta rap. this album just opened my mind to better things and i still love it. hell, ive listened through it twice just today.

    1. no doubt;; return of saturn.
"makeup's all off... who am i?"

amazing melodies, heart0felt and honest lyrics, no doubt at their very best. i can listen to it the whole way through and love every minute of it. there are still some classic no doubt tracks on this like "staring problem" and "six feet under" but most of this album is so dark. it also includes gwen's defining moment and probably the most fantastic moment of their career with "magic's in the makeup". just the best. if only gwen could be this mature all the time

    best track;; home now.

    2. no doubt;; tragic kingdom.
"welcome to the tragic kingdom, cornfields of popcorn have yet to spring open."

just so fun. i love their giddy riffs and hyper lyrics on this. also can be serious with the likes of "happy now?", "the climb", "end it on this" and of course the ever so famous "don't speak". the title track is just a ****ing epic. i love listening to this in the summer

    best track;; sunday morning.

    3. taking back sunday;; tell all your friends.
"so sick (so sick) of being tired and oh so tired of being sick. we're both such magnificent liars so crush me baby i'm all ears."

i bought the new edition of this with the dvd about 4 months ago and i have listened to it so many times. i would give every track at least 7.5/10. i know all the words now and i can just listen to it all the way through. just so amazing.

best track;; there's no 'i' in team.

    4. placebo;; placebo.
"eyeholes in a paper bag, greatest lay i ever had."

this album is so amazing. i love every track on it. it was one of the best bargains i've ever come across. definite highlights are "nancy boy" "teeange angst" and "bruise pristine".

    best track;; nancy boy.

    5. sugarcult;; start static.
twenty-four hours on an empty brain, got my finger on the trigger and you're in my way.

pop punk masterpiece. this album is so much fun. every song makes me wanna dance.

best track;; pretty girl (the way).

    i heart nik

Ill try to keep it short.

    1. Dookie by Green Day
Because it's a one time thing. I dont think a song about jackin it could ever be popular today. Also, its the only album Ive ever had where Ive loved, or at least liked every song

    2. OK Computer by Radiohead
There are a lot of theories about this album, but my guess is that it was the band's responce to Brit Pop's popularity (which they hated, other than Blur) and they wanted to distance themselves from it. But its a great album, I love almost every song, no matter how creepy or odd it is.

    3. Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Just a terrific album, really. They kinda lost their funkeyness in this album, but it was great. Not much else to say.

    4. The Colour and The Shape by Foo Fighters
To be honest, there are some songs on here I dont listen to much. But the ones that I do listen to are amazing. Hey, Johnny Park!, Everlong, My Hero are outstanding, and See You, Wind Up, and others are great as well.

    5. A Rush Of Blood To The Head by Coldplay
My favorite songs arent their most popular, and they dont sound much like them either. Most of their stuff isnt all this emotional stuff you hear. God Put A Smile Upon Your Face is incredible, Politik is great and A Rush Of Blood To The Head is amazing. You have to listen to them a few times to like them I think.
