    I am wanting to submit my website to search engines. How would I do this?

    People have said that there is a search engine submitter on Cpanel, but I haven't found it yet. Also, people said META bots or something.. How do I do this?

    Thanks.

    I don't think META tags are that useful anymore, web search engines search the pages now anyway, because some people abused META tags.

    Some META tags are useful for example the description is used by Google and Yahoo use the keyword tag, or they did i'm not too sure anymore.

    Google and Yahoo have Add URL sections if you look carefully enough, you also need to get in-bound-links to build up your PR with Google. Then you can add your URL to directories such as free ones and DMOZ only don't hope for much with DMOZ.

    You can also then view a good SEO guide on Sitepoint you can find that at:

    Just use meta tags... works fine for me.

    HTML Code:
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
    <meta name="description" content="text here" />
    <meta name="keywords" content="text here" />
    </head>

    I have no idea, some META tags google just ignore. The best way too get indexed is too create a sitemap and submit it using google sitemaps.
